We really appreciate playing cooperatively. But in addition to appealing to our social inclinations, it must be learned. The most effective approach to do this is to mimic what we observe. So that the children can gain a feel of what it looks like, our nursery teachers and educators try to demonstrate play and cooperation whenever they can. Turn-taking, being gentle, and speaking kindly are all instances of positive reinforcement. The play will eventually begin to ease societal tension as a result.
We start with brief separations because kids need to have confidence that their caregiver will come back. In turn, this fosters mutual respect and trust. We gradually increase the length of separation once these brief intervals become the norm. A teddy bear, blanket, or other familiar object from home can be comforting.
It’s typical for kids to cry during their first period of semi-independence in kindergarten. Please bear in mind that it’s a normal, healthy reaction to the affection you’ve shown them thus far. We develop a strategy that is specific to their personality attributes for transitions and promotions as well.
